A CT scan and MRI revealed tumors that had probably been developing for at least six months, the 43-year-old reality personality said on Instagram. Two of the tumors were to be surgically removed right away, and radiation therapy will be used to treat the other smaller tumors.
Mellencamp posted a heartfelt message thanking her family, friends, and medical team. She also shared a video of her head being shaved in preparation for surgery.
